7th August: Revisiting Enukweni!

The quote below beautifully sums up our revisit to Enukweni. Quote by Heather, a final year Leeds medic, who is currently volunteering in Malawi with CDFG.

“We visited this site two weeks ago and taught the group how to make the pads and they seemed really enthusiastic about them. We left some initial materials and sewing equipment for them to trial. When we arrived back today the girls were so proud, they presented all the pads they made and told us how they’d gotten on and what they needed, they’d obviously been working so so hard and were really happy to tell us about it all. Their youth group normally gets 15 people attending but they said they had 60 people turning up because they heard about the project”
